Privacy and data
Short, because there is very little to describe.
What this site collects
Nothing, unless you send it. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking on any page. No cookie is set for any purpose other than remembering whether you chose the light or the dark theme, and that preference is stored in your own browser and never sent anywhere.
The contact form
When you submit the form, the name, email address, organisation and message you typed are sent by email to John Pedersen. They are used to reply to you and for no other purpose. They are not added to a mailing list, not sold, and not shared with anyone else.
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the submission comes from a person rather than a script. Cloudflare processes a limited amount of technical information to make that check.
Enquiries are kept in the email account they arrive in for as long as the conversation is live, and deleted once it is clear no further contact is expected. You can ask for your message to be deleted at any time by emailing [email protected].
Booking a call
If online booking is switched on, the calendar is provided by Google. Booking a slot means giving Google the details you enter into it, under Google's own terms. If you would rather not, send a message through the contact form and the times can be agreed by email instead.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes the technical information any web server sees, such as your internet address and browser, in order to serve the page and defend against attacks.
Your rights
Under United Kingdom data protection law you can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to it being used. Email [email protected] and you will get an answer from the person who holds it.
Changes
If this note changes in a way that matters, the change will be described here rather than made quietly.
